A large one-off cornicello of deep red Sicilian Coral formed from the tip of the Corallium Rubrum growing off the coast of Trapani on the west coast of Sicily. Coral is a protected species and this piece is antique; we have sourced it from the premier Corallari boutique RossoCorallo who fitted it to this fancy antique hand engraved Victorian era 9ct Gold cap (which itself is pretty special as it has a beautiful fluted design with a finely inscribed leafesque engraving). 

Seen in antique portraits, red Coral has a long and ancient history and tradition worn as a protection against ill health and the promotion of fertility. 

Measures just over 4.5cm lengthwise and will include a jump ring if desired.
